Our school meal providers, North Tyneside Catering are inviting all children who are entitled to a free meal in Reception, Years 1 and 2 to stay for a school meal on Thursday 6th October. Pupils in Years 3 and 4 are also invited to enjoy a space-themed lunch. This is our Census Day where we hope as many pupils as possible can be recorded as enjoying a meal on this day. A fun day lunch has been organised costing £2.40, unless entitled to benefit based free school meals.
The theme is World Space and is linked to World Space Week. Pupils will have a chance of finding a 'golden ticket' and winning a prize on the day. There will be a star prize for one lucky pupil to be entered into a prize draw across the authority to win a family ticket to the Space Zone at Centre for Life.
It would be great to have as such support for this fun themed day as possible. If your child already stays for school meals, you will not need to send in any additional money as you will already have a lunch account. The cost of the meal will be £2.40 which should be sent into school in a clearly marked envelope (correct money if possible).
Please complete the separate ParentMail choices form to indicate your child's choice. Even if your child does not with to stay, please let us know.
All response forms must be sent to us by 9:00am on Friday 30th September in order for us to advise Catering Services with regard to the meals that are required.
